Imali Mania Wins For Rathmor And More Pre-training Success


Imali Mania won her maiden over 1900m at Greyville on Sunday. The five year old mare is by Mogok out of Lady Gallanta, by Sportsworld.

Ridden by Craig Zackey and trained by Des Egdes, she won by half a length from Adventure Gallery and Red Rock Lady(AUS) and has placed eight times. Imali Mania is a half-sister to three other winners - Tupolev (by Winter Romance), Miss Zara (by Qui Danzig), 3-time winning full-brothers Sports Kid and Time To Dance (by resident sire Woodborough).

Her dam Lady Gallanta is a 2-time winner over distances of 2500 - 2700m. Lady Gallanta is out of Gr 1 Cape Of Good Hope Paddock Stakes winner Luticia, who has produced five winners including Black Types Little Arc and Lotus Eater. This is the family of Gr 1 winner Geepee S, Anniversary Knight and Lite Spark.

Quest For Success Pre-training had another winner with graduate Your Move, who won his fifth start by an incredible five lengths at the Vaal over 1400m. Jumping from stall one and carrying 60kgs under Marthinus Mienie, Your Move ran on strongly to beat Clipperton Island and Adventure.

The son of Kahal out of Arctic Glow by Northern Guest is trained by Barend Botes and has now had six starts and a place. Bred by Mr & Mrs Bruce Le Roux, Your Move sold for R225 000 at the Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale in 2011.
