Linngari produced a Stakes Place in France, Love And Peace (FR) finished just a neck off in the Listed Prix Petite Etoile over 1900m at Deauville this week.

Love And Peace by Rathmor Stud based Linngari is out of a Brazilian Gr1 winning mare Indochine, who has also produced Linngaro who has placed in three Listed races.

A Gr1 globetrotting winner, Linngari won Group races in Italy, Dubai, Germany and the UK, and placed in Turkey and Hong Kong (Gr1 Hong Kong Cup).

He was named Champion Older Sprinter in Germany in 2006, Champion Older Horse in Germany in 2008 and Champion Older Male Miler in Italy in 2007. He had 11 wins in total from age 2 – 6 over 1200m – 2000m. Bred by the Aga Khan and owned by Rupert Plersch, Linngari has produced horses the world over and boasts a 60% lifetime winners to runners percentage, amongst them the star Garlingari – who has seven Group / Listed wins under his belt from 10 career wins and multiple Stakes Places. He is Timeform Rated at 120.

Linngari stands at Rathmor Stud and his first South African born crop will be on the tracks in 2019. He has produced winners recently in South Africa through imported mares – including Festive Linngari just a few days ago in Gauteng over 1700m.

His top price at the recent BSA Ready To Run Sale was R220 000 consigned by Summerhill Stud as Agent.

Noble Tune is bringing in the winners and has produced 8 winners this season, and a lifetime winners to runners percentage of 31%.

Frozen Tune flew on Sunday at Greyville on the turf to win by three lengths. Frozen Tune has been unlucky, with five of his eight places in second position. Other recent winners for Noble Tune include our own-bred I'm Free, out of Free Parking by Silvano. She won second time out for trainer Wayne Badenhorst, after finishing third on debut and Noble Joshua should also find the winners enclosure again very soon.

We are pleased to report that Noble Tune has had visiting mares from the Cape this season. His Curlin half-sister recently sold at the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale for $600 000.

Amongst Rathmor’s draft for the 2019 National Yearling Sale is a Noble Tune half-brother to Gr1 winner, Lady In Black.

Whilst their places will only be confirmed after National Yearling Sales inspections have taken place in January, Rathmor Stud have a very strong draft beginning their sales preparations for the 2019 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale.

They include progeny by Frankel, Dynasty and Noble Tune – two of them out of sales topping mares purchased off the CTS Mare Sales in 2017, for R2,4-million (Almosthaditall) and R2,6-million (Queen Of Spain) respectively.

Whilst walking through the paddocks as the colts quietly concentrate on their feed after the breakfast run, Mike McHardy of Rathmor Stud comments that although the paddock is brimming with stock from superior stallions, its important not to ‘mollycoddle’ them and to raise them as normal horses, who dont know who their famous sires are.

Noble Tune has already earned Black Type with his smart grey son White Lightning, who was born and raised at Rathmor Stud. Rathmor have bred the likes of Gypsy’s Warning, Wendywood, Surabi, Romany Prince and Harry Lime amongst others.

The National yearlings are out of mares bought specifically for Noble Tune, which include:

Dam is a full sister to American Gr1 and Gr2 winner DATA LINK.
